DBS Bank’s Pranam Wahi recalled to Singapore
Pranam Wahi, CEO of DBS Bank’s India operations, has been recalled to Singapore to take charge of the Bank’s Global Transaction Services business, which covers trade finance, securities and fiduciary services. He will be replaced by Sanjiv Bhasin, managing director and CEO of Rabo India Finance.
Hideyuki Nagahiro moves from BTMU
Hideyuki Nagahiro, Head of Commodity and Structured Trade Finance at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi (BTMU), has moved to a specialist energy-finance institution, where he will be in charge of establishing new business in energy, natural resources and environment and focus more on investment rather than debt finance. He will start on 1 September.
Carl Adams moves up at Banco Espirito Santo
Carl Adams, who joined from WestLB earlier in the year, has been appointed Head of Structured Finance Origination at Banco Espirito Santo Investment, a subsidiary of Portugal’s second largest private bank. He will continue to be based in New York.
Plutarchos Sakellaris named new EIB vice president
Plutarchos Sakellaris has been named vice president of the European Investment Bank. He joins from the Hellenic Ministry of Economy and Finance where he was the chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors.
