Falcon fills Brazil and Turkey positions

Falcon Trade Corporation has appointed Daniel Issa and Gamze Sarioglu as country managers for Brazil and Turkey respectively.

The appointments bring to four the number of new markets that Falcon has expanded into in the last year, following the opening of offices in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Issa will manage origination and structuring of trade finance packages for companies in Brazil, initially, with a view to expanding his footprint across Latin America. He has experience in commodities trading and was previously head of origination and finance at Brazilian trading company Sertrading.

Sarioglu joined Falcon at the beginning of June and was previously trade finance manager at Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi in Turkey and, prior to that, worked in project finance and forfaiting at WestLB. “Turkey is an obvious market for Falcon,” said Sarioglu. “It has a strong import/export sector that will, in our view, benefit from imaginative trade services and innovative solutions.”
