Reshuffle for top execs at EDC
Export Development Canada (EDC), the Canadian export credit agency, has reshuffled a number of top roles at the agency.
Kevin O’Brien, a 22-year veteran of the agency, has been appointed senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer. He was formerly an executive with HA Simons and worked within the Bombardier group of companies.
Stephen Poloz has been appointed to fulfil O’Brien’s old role of senior vice president in the Financing Products Group. Poloz joined EDC in 1999 as chief economist and has also served as senior vice president of corporate affairs. He was previously with the Bank of Canada and managing editor of The International Bank Credit Analyst, now BCA Research.
Jim McArdle, meanwhile, has added corporate social responsibility to his list of roles, while Peter Hall is now vice president and chief economist, reporting to Poloz, after spending four years as deputing chief economist and 20 in domestic and international economic analysis and forecasting.
