Abhijit Banerjee, Principal Consultant, Structured Finance Corporate & Investment Banking at KPMG Consulting in London gives an extensive look into the quantification of risk in specialised finance business. He gives two live deal examples and shows the need for quantitative risk models to satisfy the new BIS capital adequacy directive (CAD-III 1999). Banerjee is undertaking KPMG projects for banks in the UK and Netherlands to build these risk models for trade finance.
