IFA set for Rome annual conference
The 10th Annual Conference of the International Forfaiting Association (IFA) is to take place from 2nd to 4th September at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, St Peter’s in Rome, close to Vatican City.
The Conference is the forfaiting event of the year in Europe and will include presentations on electronic trading, analysis of the events of the past year and will include perspectives from lawyers, economists, bankers and exporters.
The highlight of the Conference, as usual, will be Thursday’s gala dinner, which the IFA promises will be “held at one of the most spectacular locations in Rome”, as well as the usual “surprises and entertainment”.
To mark the 10th anniversary, the IFA Board has invited John Egli, former Chairman and founder of the Association, to attend this year’s Conference.
It will also coincide, of course, with the IFA’s annual general meeting, in which four board members – Lucio Matassoni, Steve Coleman, Waltraud Raderschall and Sal Chiappinelli – will make way for fresh blood after six years of service. Members will be voting on their replacements at the AGM.
