ABN AMRO has appointed Karin Kersten as global head of trade and commodity finance in its corporate and institutional banking arm.

After her time as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, Kersten returned to the financial sector in 2003 and has since held various positions, including in the integration of Fortis Bank Nederland and at ABN AMRO itself, in risk management and transaction banking.

“Karin is a highly experienced and energetic professional,” said CEO of corporate and institutional banking Rutger van Nouhuijs. “She is exceptionally qualified to further build up our offering for our trade and commodity clients.”
