Deutsche Bank names Atul Jain new head of trade finance and trade finance flow

Deutsche Bank has appointed Atul Jain as head of trade finance and trade finance flow, Asia Pacific.

Based in Singapore, he will lead the trade finance business in the region and handle business strategy.

Jain will report to global head of trade finance Daniel Schmand, global head of trade finance flow Michael Dietz, and regionally to Lisa Robins, Asia Pacific head of global transaction banking.

Lisa Robins said, “We are delighted to see Atul taking on this new role. With his deep understanding of the transaction banking business in the region and his leadership qualities, I am confident that he will be very successful.”

Daniel Schmand added, “With Atul at the helm of our Asia Pacific business, we hope to build on our momentum in the region and to continue to serve our growing client base with best-in-class solutions.”

Jain moves from his role at Deutsche as regional chief operating officer for corporate and investment banking and global transaction banking in Asia Pacific, and was previously acting regional head of group strategy in Asia Pacific.

He began his career in the bank’s global corporate finance business in the US.
