Citi has appointed Gulru Atak as the new head of its treasury and trade solutions (TTS) Dublin innovation lab.

Atak will lead and develop the innovation programme for Citi’s TTS business, and will report to EMEA head TTS Ebru Pakcan.

The Dublin lab is one two labs the bank has established since 2009 (the second is based in Singapore) and was created to “drive innovation in Citi’s global banking business.”

“We are a technology driven business. This is why we put so much emphasis in to the work we do in our lab,” said Pakcan.

“Gulru’s experience, combined with her in-depth knowledge of our business, makes her the perfect candidate to drive our innovation agenda forward.”

Commenting on her appointment, Atak said, “I’m extremely excited about taking on this new role and working with an incredibly talented team on shaping the innovation agenda for the business. Through the projects we are working on in the lab, we are able to lead and support our clients with new innovative solutions for their businesses, which is becoming more important as we look to the future.”
